The user can choose to display a banner message below the menu ribbon on STIP Manager or STIP Viewer. To configure this message, the user can navigate to the "Code Lists" interface, located under the Administration icon on the Utility Bar.
Then, the STIPConfiguration code list must be selected from the "Code List" picklist.
Once selected, the user can locate the codes based on which application they wish to display the banner message on. For STIP Manager, these two codes will help configure the banner message:
- STIP Manager Display Message Banner
- STIP Manager Message Banner Text
The "STIP Manager Display Message Banner" code determines if the banner message will be displayed on STIP Manager. A value of "TRUE" will display the banner, while a value of "FALSE" will remove the banner from view. The "Value" field is not case sensitive.
The "STIP Manager Message Banner Text" code determines the words displayed on the banner message. The message can be entered in the "Value" text field, and the exact format will be mirrored on the application. For example, the banner message in the image below has an all-caps word (TEST). After selecting "Save Changes," the banner message will appear below the menu ribbon.
The STIP Viewer banner message can also be configured in the STIP Manager Code Lists interface; this is the only place it can be edited since code lists are not editable in STIP Viewer. For STIP Viewer, these two codes will help configure the banner message:
- STIP Viewer Display Message Banner
- STIP Viewer Message Banner Text
The "STIP Viewer Display Message Banner" code determines if the banner message will be displayed on STIP Viewer. A value of "TRUE" will display the banner, while a value of "FALSE" will remove the banner from view. The "Value" field is not case sensitive.
The "STIP Viewer Message Banner Text" code determines the words displayed on the banner message. The message can be entered in the "Value" text field, and the exact format will be mirrored on the application. For example, the banner message in the image below has an all-caps acronym (SV) and a colon (:). After selecting "Save Changes," the banner message will appear below the menu ribbon.
