Just as in the STIP Manager, the Viewer has a legend on the map interface which allows users to add layers of data directly to the map. As covered in the Overview, the map will have some layering effects upon first entry into the Viewer: the STIP Projects layers and State Boundary layer.
If a user prefers to not use the legend items or wishes to merely take them out of view, they can click the arrow (carat) located on the right side of the legend box. The user can bring the layering checkboxes back into view by simply clicking the same button again.
The layering options are:
- STIP Projects (Points on Network)
- STIP Projects (Lines on Network)
- STIP Projects (Points off Network)
- STIP Projects (Lines off Network)
- STIP Projects (Polygons off Network)
- Routes
- Bridges
- Functional Class
- NHS
- Congressional Districts
- Urban Area/Urban Clusters
- MPO/RPO Boundaries
- County Boundaries
- Division Boundaries
- State Boundary
