There are certain approval stages a project must pass through in order to be added to the STIP Revision. The Revisions tab tackles this process through the Amendment Workflow. The Amendment Workflow places a status indicating the current stage of approval on the project; these statuses are outlined in the table.
| Status Options | Can Amendments be added? | Description |
| Withdraw | N/A | This action moves the changes back to Pre-Approved. |
| Pending Regional Manager Approval | Yes | Item N Draft is under review by the Regional Manager. |
| Pending STIP Unit Approval | Yes | Item N Draft is under review by the STIP Unit. |
| Pending Board Review (Handout) | Yes | Item N Final has been submitted for Board review. |
| Pending Board Approval | No | The final Item N report has been submitted for Board approval. |
| Board Approved | No | The Board has approved the Revision; this is the last step for Minor Amendments; Major Amendments will be set to “Pending FHWA/FTA Submittal." |
| Pending MPO Endorsement | No | Major Amendments that require MPO Endorsement; set by the system once the user has submitted the Revision to FHWA/FTA. |
| Pending FHWA/FTA Approval | No | Major Amendments that do not require MPO Endorsement. |
| FHWQA/FTA Rejected | N/A | Rejected at the FHWA/FTA approval stage; moves change back to Pre-Approval. |
| FHWQA/FTA Approved | No | This action marks the change approved and captures the date and user that approved the request. |
| FHWQA/FTA Approval Not Required | No | This action reverts the Change Type from a Major to a Minor Amendment and closes the change; keeps Board Approval date. |
Notice the change in the table from allowing more Amendments in the Revision to closing the Revision to additions. Once the Amendments Workflow reaches the "Pending Board Approval" phase, the user is not allowed to include any more additions to the current Revision. However, they can add project changes to any other open Revision.
Users may only select the Amendments Workflow status in the "Update all Amendments To:" picklist since all project changes go through the approval process together. However, users can withdraw individual projects by selecting "Withdraw" on the Actions menu on a specific row.
