When the Projects interface appears, the user has the option to input a "Quick Search" to filter the projects shown on the table. The system will default to the Division and "Choose a Selection" options, but the user can choose to change the dropdown boxes. Consider the table to see the available options for a Quick Search in the Projects interface.

Results
Once the user selects the criteria for each Quick Search box, the table will refresh to show the associated results. The results from any chosen Quick Search combination are sorted by STIP ID in ascending order-- the typical table sorting order-- unless the user chooses to change this quality. As the user navigates through the system, the Quick Search options will be set to the last selection made by the user. Therefore, if the user exits the projects interface but wishes to return to this pop-up window, the last search combination will still be active.
Advanced Search
Introduction
Despite the various search possibilities available through Quick Search, some users will need more specific search options. The Advanced Search provides that experience for users. This option is located to the right of the second Quick Search box. Once selected, the hyperlink will lead to a pop-up interface containing various categories and blank boxes. The picture below captures the look of the Advanced Search interface.
Search Fields
The Advanced Search pop-up will remember any selections made in the Quick Search; however, as with any search criteria, the previous selections in the Quick Search can be altered or deleted if the user wishes. In addition, the user has access to some search fields that allow multiple selections. Those fields are Mode, Funding Program, STI Funded Category, Division, County, and MPO/RPO. Users can opt to select as many options as fits their need in these categories (ex. Users can select projects from both Division 11 and 12 to appear in the table). All selections made in the Advanced Search fields will appear in the blank boxes below the appropriate title, making it clear to the user which options they have already selected.

Once the user has inputted the desired data, they can hit "Search" at the bottom of the Advanced Search interface. This action will close the pop-up and refresh the information shown on the Projects interface, showing only the information reflected in the Advanced Search. Then, users will be able to view the data on the Projects table just as with the Quick Search.
